Hydraulic Pipe Testing Presses

WINTER Maschinenbau’s hydrotesters are used for leak tests on spiral and straight welded pipes and seamless pipes, consisting mainly of a fixed and a movable crosshead equiped with appropriate testing plates. The pipes are tested between these plates

The movable crosshead allows the press to be adjusted according to the length of the pipes being tested. Between the crossheads there are either two or three pipe lifting and clamping carriages, which are used to move the pipe into the testing position and to clamp it during the procedure. The press can be fitted with upstream pipe washing stations and pipe infeed and discharge devices to transport the pipes from and to the customer's roller tables.

The test procedure is fully automatic. A pressure timing diagram is prepared and stored for each pipe. The press can be used to test pipes to the applicable DIN and API standards.

Pipe testing presses for spirally welded pipes

During the test procedures of these hydrotesters the pipes of small and medium diameters are sealed on the face, at larger diameters the sealings are inserted.
The number of simultaneous tests maximum possible depends on various criteria. The below mentioned technical data are limiting values. Only one portion is possible and reasonable for one machine.

Pipe testing presses for seamless drawn pipes

Drawn pipes are sealed at the outer diameter. Self-clamping or hydraulically clamped testing heads are used depending on the range of diameters and pressures.
