Antenna Rotators

For more than 40 years, WINTER Maschinenbau has been producing antenna rotators, which are used by the post office, broadcasting companies, regulatory authorities, the German Federal Armed Forces and NATO. Although they are designed primarily for mobile antenna support systems, the rotators are also increasingly being mounted on stationary masts and towers.

WINTER Maschinenbau's antenna rotators feature excellent directional stability, high delivered torque and an extremely favourable power/weight ratio, which is particularly important in terms of the load-carrying capacity of the support systems. The low weight of the rotators compared to the antenna size allows several systems to be simultaneously mounted on an antenna support. A modular system enables all rotator types to be fitted with an electronic position preselector and display.

The use of absolute value transmitters means that in case of power failure the current position is displayed when the power is restored. The designs are differentiated to accept standard parabolic antennas with a diameter of between 0.6 m and 3.0 m. WINTER Maschinenbau's antenna rotators are also suitable for periodic logarithmic antennas and special antenna designs.

Rotators in both versions AZ/EL (azimuth and elevation) and AZ only (azimuth) can be delivered.
